Nursing As A Service

The faculty of Diana College of Nursing believes that nursing is a service which relates to the whole person through Ministry of caring and nurturing. Nursing assists individuals, families and communities wherever they are to prevent illness, promote and restore health.

We believe that this course in nursing prepares nurses for nursing in both, the hospital and community. Education is a process of development which leads to modification of behavior based on acquisition of knowledge, attitude and skill.

We accept that the basic course in nursing is a formal educational preparation which should be based on sound educational principles and we recognize this program as a foundation on which the practice of nursing is built.

We recognize that nursing as a practicing profession, is inter-dependent on allied professions and occupations for promoting, restoring and maintaining health and preventing diseases.

We recognize the necessity of developing a deep pride in the nursing profession among students to enable further professional growth.
